The beautiful Augusta, GA is the host city of several great events each year including: The Masters, Nike’s Peach Jam, and the Ironman 70.3 Augusta Triatholon. This weekend however, its all about the annual Peach State Showcase that is currently in it’s 21st year. Non shoe-circuit teams from across the country have traveled in for their opportunity to compete for college scholarships. This event features teams from nearly every region in the country (California, Texas, New Jersey, & all across the southeast).

Let’s look at some of the top performers from Day 1 at the Peach State Select 24

Jequann Roberson (2022/6’8”/PF) of Memphis Magic is a big man with a big game. Coaches looking to add some size to their class of 2022 needs to make sure they lay eyes on this young prospect this weekend. He put up Double-Double numbers & showed his soft hands and good footwork. Catch him action tomorrow at 10:30am on court 2 at Westside High.

Jaden Phillips (2021/6’5”/W) of I Can All Stars (CA) had one of the most impressive performances today. He has great versatility and athleticism and his motor is always running on high. Jaden is class of 2021 and is still unsigned and has recently qualified. He tells us he open to all levels, including Juco. Coaches make sure to stop by and watch him tomorrow at 3:30pm on court 1 at Westside High.

Mazar-I-Sharif Jackson (2022/6’2”/G) of Juice All Stars Stephenson (NC) stepped up big for his team down the stretch in tightly contested win this afternoon. In a back and forth game Jackson, was able to take control of the action at the PG spot and will his team to a victory. He is a slender guy, but he has a great handle and hit some clutch shots. Coaches can watch him in action tomorrow at 1pm on court 1 at Westside High.

Jeilon Jackson (2022/6’1”/PG) of Tha Kiddz 17u (CA) shot the cover off the ball today in his teams blowout win. He scored 18pts (hitting 4 three pointers) and came up big in the 2nd half that sparked the blowout. Coaches needing a sniper PG in class of 2022 can watch him tomorrow at 1pm on court 2 at Westside High.
