(2027) Tavares Powell of Fairview Middle School (FL) was a man amongst boys at our #EliteCamp we hosted down in Panama City, FL a few weeks back. He scored pretty much at-will and displayed great length and athleticism on the defensive end. He was voted by the staff and coaches as the MVP of the camp!! 

Tavares, standing at (6’) has long arms and good size for an 8th grade guard. He was able to attack downhill with his dribble almost at-will. He has good touch at the rim – he showed the ability to finish through traffic with either hand. His shot is still developing, mainly because of the success he finds driving the ball, but he did showcase the ability to take and make big shots when needed.
