2024 Forwards To Know

-

Ace McKinnie (6’8”/Forward) of Southern Kings 16U showed off his athleticism this weekend in New Orleans. This “slender-framed” forward runs the floor like a deer, and possess an innate ability to block and change shots. Ace is dangerous when running in transition and gets off the floor and above the rim quickly. He is still developing and rounding out his overall offensive skill set, but the combination of his ability to screen and roll, run the floor, block shots, and make plays off of rebounds makes him very intriguing to college coaches of all levels. Payton Mayhorn (6’8”/Power Forward) is playing up an age group with the Kentucky Hoop Dreams 17U. He was a consistent “Double-Double” guy at the Exclusive Runs this weekend. His activity level in the paint on both ends of the floor stood out to our college scouts. Payton runs the floor well and brings an interior presence that must be accounted for by opposing teams. Playing up against older and more polished forwards this travel season will be sure to prove in his favor. Follow him on twitter: @payton_mayhorn

Trey’Dez Green (6’7”/Forward) played up an age group for the LA Tigers 17U at the Exclusive Runs. He is a “high-major” prospect for football (currently rated the #1 tight end in the country and #15 overall player) who currently holds football offers from Houston, Purdue, Texas A&M, and LSU, and holds basketball offers from the likes of Southern, ULM, Grambling State. Green has great hands and feet, is a very physical player, and possess a soft touch around the rim. He will have the opportunity to play either football or basketball at the highest level of college athletics. Follow him on twitter: @treydez_green
